The 16 teams have arrived in the Latvian capital of Riga to play the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

From the pandemic bubble to the varied rosters, the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship was arguably the most unusual in hockey history. Public health restrictions in Latvia, which were slightly relaxed during the tournament, meant that most games at Arena Riga and the Olympic Sports Centre were played with no fans present, and others with very few.

“The guys who spent weeks together became a family. One day I will tell my grandkids about this”, said German forward Marcel Noebels. 

BTG team provided accommodation services for all 16 teams, officials, delegates, and sponsors, personal assistance on site.

“The challenges in rheumatology in COVID-19 pandemics” – was the topic of this year’s conference. The main aim for the conference was to discuss clinical cases with challenges resolved or luminated.
